Internal District software. Described at a high level; the visual is a mock-up with synthetic data, not the production interface.

The problem

Field staff record their inspection rounds in software they rely on every shift. The legacy system they had was unreliable.

Replacing a tool people use daily is as much about rollout and trust as it is about code.

What I built

  • Requirements first

Started with requirements gathering for the replacement before writing code.

  • Same proven stack

Built on the WellSound stack — FastAPI, PostgreSQL and JavaScript — with Microsoft Entra ID single sign-on and role-based access.

  • Testing and rollout

Tested before release, then rolled out with user training for field staff.

  • Post-implementation support

Supported the app after launch as staff moved over from the legacy system.

Result

  • Replaced the unreliable legacy system with a stable tool field staff adopted.
  • In full production use by field staff.
