Compliance reporting platform

Regulus

A full-stack app that reads water-quality compliance data straight from the database, shows it on one dashboard, and generates the recurring state reports from the same numbers — replacing manual data entry.

  1. May 2026 – Present

    Engineering Intern · Elsinore Valley Municipal Water District

    Design, build, test and deploy full-stack web apps and Power BI reporting for engineering, compliance, lab and field teams — turning manual processes and unreliable legacy tools into software people use.

    • Built a compliance reporting platform (React, TypeScript, Python FastAPI, SQL Server) that reads live database records and auto-generates recurring state reports in Excel and PDF, replacing manual data entry.
    • Wrote automated unit and API tests with pytest covering the compliance calculations and report output, so AI-assisted code changes (Claude Code) were verified before release.
    • Developed a field data-collection app (FastAPI, PostgreSQL, JavaScript) that flags statistical outliers beyond two standard deviations as operators enter readings, catching errors before submission.
    • Built and rolled out a replacement for an unreliable legacy field inspection system — requirements, testing, training and support — now in full production use.
    • Built 12+ Power BI dashboards with SQL, Power Query and DAX for four departments, combining two separate SQL databases and Excel into one place for each team.

    Represented Meta’s AR/VR products in retail stores: demonstrating devices, answering technical questions, and helping customers set up and troubleshoot their hardware.

    • Delivered 50+ hands-on demonstrations weekly, breaking complex AR/VR features into plain-language explanations and contributing to a 30% improvement in customer engagement.
    • Troubleshot device, app and network issues in real time during live demos, under time pressure.
    • Gathered user feedback and requirements as a technical liaison between customers and Meta’s product ecosystem.
